Discovery of the Remains

On October 24, 2016, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a grim discovery near the intersection of I-465 and South East Street on the city's south side. Skeletal remains were found in a secluded area, later identified as belonging to 24-year-old Joseph Allen Capps. The condition of the remains suggested that Capps had been deceased for some time before the discovery. 

Joseph Allen Capps was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey Capps and Tracy Duncan, as well as two sisters, Danial "Dani" Capps and Alyssia Tekluve, and a brother, Anthony Cordell.
