A Routine Night Turns Tragic

In the early hours of June 27, 1986, the quiet streets of San Diego's Old Town were disrupted by a chilling discovery. Linda Younger, a dedicated cab driver for Yellow Cab Company, was found lifeless in her taxi. Responding to a citizen's complaint about an unattended cab with its lights glaring into a residence, a company supervisor arrived at the 1900 block of San Diego Avenue shortly after midnight. There, in the front passenger seat of her cab, sat Younger, fatally shot. The motive appeared to be robbery or an attempted robbery gone wrong.
