In the early hours of April 23, 2014, the quiet streets near the Galleria Mall in North Dallas were disrupted by a violent crime that remains unsolved to this day. At approximately 1 a.m., 37-year-old Matthew Scott De La Garza was discovered lying unconscious in the middle of Preston Oaks Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
