Introduction: A Life Cut Short

On April 24, 2015, the life of 19-year-old Nicole Marie Towns was tragically cut short in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood. A young mother to a 3-year-old child, Nicole had recently embarked on a new job, symbolizing hope and aspirations for a brighter future. Her untimely death not only devastated her family and friends but also left a void in the community that continues to be felt to this day. 

The Fateful Night: Events Leading Up to the Shooting

On that ill-fated evening, Nicole attended a party in the 9300 block of South LaSalle Street.
