On Monday, June 8, 2015, at approximately 4:01 PM, the tranquility of the 5100 block of Southern Avenue, SE, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Mr. Qur'an Vines was found fatally shot in the rear of this residential area, marking a somber day for the community.
