On the night of January 8, 2016, the life of 30-year-old Roger Lewis Haggins was tragically cut short in a violent incident that remains unsolved to this day. Haggins, a resident of Fort Washington, Maryland, was fatally shot in Southeast Washington, D.C., leaving his family and the community searching for answers. The Night of the Incident

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 8, 2016, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, SE.
