On the night of January 8, 2016, the life of 30-year-old Roger Lewis Haggins was tragically cut short in a violent incident that remains unsolved to this day. Haggins, a resident of Fort Washington, Maryland, was fatally shot in Southeast Washington, D.C., leaving his family and the community searching for answers. Despite ongoing investigations, the circumstances surrounding his death continue to be a mystery.

The Night of the Incident

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 8, 2016, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, SE.
