A Tragic Night in Normal Heights

On the evening of August 12, 2003, the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego was shaken by a tragic event. At approximately 10:29 PM, officers responded to a distress call reporting an individual lying unconscious in front of an apartment complex at 4355 37th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Sean Michael Augustad bleeding from his torso. Despite prompt medical attention, Sean was pronounced dead at the scene, the victim of a fatal stabbing.

In the moments leading up to his death, Sean was seen standing outside the apartment complex, smoking a cigarette.
