Discovery of the Crime Scene

On the evening of November 30, 2016, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Chicago police officers responded to a call reporting gunshots in the 6800 block of South Cornell Avenue, located in the South Shore neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Trayvon M. Dickerson lying in a gangway, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds to both his head and abdomen. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
