Introduction

On the evening of August 31, 2015, the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago was shaken by the tragic murder of 35-year-old Tyris R. Jackson. Despite the passage of time, his case remains unsolved, leaving a void in the community and questions that persist to this day. 

The Fateful Evening

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Tyris was walking in the 4900 block of South Drexel Boulevard, a place he called home. As he made his way down the street, a white SUV approached.
