It was around 3:30 p.m. on that fateful day when Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of South 16th Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard in the Russell neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of D'Anthoni Brown, a 15-year-old African American male, who had succumbed to gunshot wounds.
