A Promising Life Interrupted

In the early hours of September 17, 2016, Indianapolis was shaken by a series of violent events that claimed the lives of three young men. Among them was 23-year-old Derrius Allen Brandon, whose untimely death remains an unresolved chapter in the city's history. Born on February 14, 1993, in Indiana, Derrius was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and affectionately known as "G-Baby" by those close to him. His life, filled with promise and potential, was tragically cut short, leaving a void in the hearts of his family and community. 

The Fateful Night

The sequence of events on that tragic night began around 12:30 a.m. when the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to reports of shots fired in the 2000 block of West 76th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an individual with a gunshot wound to the hand.
