On that ill-fated morning, Jasmine was near Long's Bakery, a popular establishment located at the intersection of West 16th Street and Tremont Street. Reports indicate that the shooting occurred just before 3:30 a.m., shortly after patrons had left the nearby Sunset Strip adult entertainment club. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) noted that two groups in cars were involved in a dispute, leading to shots being fired.
