The Day of the Incident: A Routine Morning Turns Deadly

The morning of February 2 began like any other Saturday at the Lane Bryant store located in the Brookside Marketplace shopping center. Customers browsed the aisles, and employees attended to their duties. At approximately 10:45 a.m., a man posing as a delivery person entered the store. Once inside, he produced a firearm and herded six women—four customers and two employees—into a back room.
