A Night Out Turns Mysterious
On the evening of April 10, 1994, James Arthur Cole, affectionately known as "Jimmy," spent time with his brother, Jeff, at two local establishments in Severna Park, Maryland: the Shangri-La Restaurant and the Gingerbread Man. After Jeff departed around 10 p.m., Jimmy continued socializing, eventually leaving the Shangri-La alone at approximately 1:30 a.m. on April 11. Visibly intoxicated, he was presumed to be walking the short distance to his parents' home on Hodges Lane, a route he often took after nights out.
Immediate Concerns and Search Efforts
When Jimmy failed to return home, his family grew concerned. They reported him missing on April 12, initiating a search that included local areas he frequented. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of Jimmy was found. His belongings remained untouched, and he had not collected his final paycheck from K&J Maintenance Co., where he was employed.
Investigative Developments
In the years following his disappearance, the Anne Arundel County Police Department continued to investigate. In 2012, a renewed search was conducted along the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail, utilizing volunteer search and rescue teams with trained canines. Some items were collected during this search, but it remains unclear if they are connected to Jimmy's case.
Personal Background
Jimmy was a 21-year-old Caucasian male, standing between 5'6" and 5'7", and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He had brown, shoulder-length hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive black widow spider tattoo on his right forearm. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a burgundy and green baseball shirt, blue jeans, a green Loyola baseball cap, and new low-cut beige and black hiking boots. ...Read More
