On April 21, 2019, 15-year-old Jillian Devine Gonzales vanished from Oakland, California, following a disagreement with her mother. The next day, she attended school but did not return home. Initially, it was believed she was staying with a friend from high school. However, after several days without contact, concern grew among her family and school administrators.
