A Quiet Summer Day Turns Mysterious

On July 9, 1992, in the 2000 block of Constantine Drive in Marrero, Louisiana, 32-year-old Joyce Marie Kennedy was last seen getting into a black car, reportedly heading to Buras, Louisiana. She was never seen or heard from again. 

Who Was Joyce Kennedy?

At the time of her disappearance, Joyce was described as an African-American woman, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with dark brown or black hair and brown eyes. She had a tattoo of her name, "Joyce," on her left arm and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. 

The Enigmatic Black Car

The identity of the driver of the black car remains unknown, and the reason for Joyce's trip to Buras is also a mystery. Buras is approximately 80 miles from Marrero, and it's unclear why she was traveling there. 

A Case That Remains Unsolved
