The Disappearance of Michael Haire
On June 19, 1993, 43-year-old Michael Haire vanished from his home in Sandpoint, Idaho, after a heated argument with his wife. He left the house in anger and was never seen again. Montz pleaded guilty to the drug charges and faced up to five years in prison. However, he failed to appear in court for sentencing in June 1995 and subsequently disappeared. For over thirty years, Montz remained at large, evading law enforcement and living under an assumed name.
The Arrest of James Montz
In 2024, Montz was arrested in Georgia, bringing a significant development to the decades-old case. He had been living there under an assumed identity. Despite his arrest, no one has been charged in connection with Haire's disappearance, but foul play is still suspected due to the circumstances involved. ...Read More
