Paul John Purcell, born on December 23, 1940, was a 76-year-old resident of Hudson, Florida, at the time of his disappearance. Living in the 9600 block of Gene Street, he was known to his neighbors as a quiet individual who navigated his neighborhood using a distinctive purple motorized scooter equipped with a canvas canopy . Despite his reclusive nature, his presence was a familiar sight in the community. 

The Day He Vanished

The last confirmed sighting of Paul was on May 2, 2017, at his residence. However, some reports suggest he may have been last seen as early as April 30, 2017 . Concern arose when neighbors noticed his absence and reported him missing on May 4.
