A Night of Celebration Turns Deadly

In the early hours of February 6, 2016, Club Rayne, a popular nightspot located at 8123 North Nebraska Avenue in Tampa, was bustling with patrons enjoying their weekend. The atmosphere was lively until shortly after 2 a.m., when an unidentified assailant opened fire inside the club. The sudden eruption of gunfire led to chaos and panic among the attendees. When the dust settled, eight individuals had been shot. Tragically, 21-year-old Marvin Douglass Lancaster III was pronounced dead at the scene, and 20-year-old Christopher Houston Jr. succumbed to his injuries at the hospital two days later.

Marvin Lancaster III, a native of Tampa and resident of Brandon, was a young man with a promising future.
