The Disappearance of Arden Fuss
On June 19, 2018, six-year-old Arden Oliver Fuss vanished from Rhinebeck, New York. The boy, described as having strawberry blond hair and blue eyes, was last seen in the company of his non-custodial mother, Aleidria Riversong Lichau. What was initially believed to be a short trip to the Oregon coast turned into an international manhunt when Lichau failed to return Arden to his father, Adam Fuss, who had been granted full custody by a New York Family Court. Instead, Lichau took Arden to Jamaica and subsequently to Costa Rica, where they have remained ever since.
Custody Dispute and Allegations
The custody battle between Adam Fuss, a renowned fine art photographer, and Aleidria Lichau, a former schoolteacher and environmentalist, was fraught with serious allegations. Lichau accused Fuss of sexually abusing their son, claims that were thoroughly investigated by child protection agencies, psychologists, and the New York Police Department's Special Victims Unit.
