A Routine Fishing Trip Turns Tragic

On February 17, 1997, Daniel Wright, a 27-year-old commercial fisherman from Juneau, Alaska, embarked on what was expected to be a routine fishing expedition aboard the vessel 'VIS' near Excursion Inlet. During the operation, Daniel was reportedly pulled overboard by a crab pot line. Despite immediate search efforts, he was never recovered and is presumed deceased.
