A Quiet Life Interrupted

Marlene Ann Pichcuskie, born on April 18, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, was a 34-year-old woman leading a seemingly ordinary life. Standing between 5'4" and 5'5" tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, she was known for her brown hair, green eyes, and a distinctive scar on her left cheek. Marlene had previously gone by the names Marlene Bradshaw and Marlene Cummings, reflecting her maiden name and a prior marriage. She had curly hair and was described as having a gentle demeanor. 

The Day She Disappeared

On June 24, 1986, Marlene was last seen at her residence in Salt Lake City. Her husband had been away on a business trip, and upon his return, he found that Marlene was missing. She had vanished just four days before their first wedding anniversary. There were no signs of forced entry or struggle, and none of her belongings appeared to be missing. Her husband promptly reported her disappearance to the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake. 

The Investigation Begins

The initial investigation into Marlene's disappearance yielded few leads. Authorities conducted interviews and searched the surrounding areas but found no evidence pointing to her whereabouts. Her dental records were made available to aid in identification efforts, and her case was entered into national databases, including NamUs (case number MP2254).
