A Routine Voyage Turns Tragic

On April 19, 1992, 21-year-old Robin Squartsoff embarked on a routine skiff journey from Kodiak to Ouzinkie, Alaska. Accompanied by Philip Balluta and Emanual Charliaga, the trio set out across the waters of the Kodiak Archipelago. Despite their familiarity with the route and the region's maritime challenges, they never reached their destination. No wreckage or remains were ever recovered, and all three men are presumed to have drowned during the voyage .
