A Familiar Face in Box Elder

Richard George Roasting Stick, affectionately known as “Smokey,” was a 57-year-old Native American man from the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy Reservation in Montana. Standing 5'8" tall and weighing 155 pounds, he had graying brown hair, brown eyes, and a mustache. On February 10, 2017, Smokey was last seen at the Northern Winz Casino off Highway 87 near Box Elder, Montana. His vehicle was found abandoned in the casino parking lot, and he has not been seen or heard from since. 

The Last Known Movements

Witnesses reported seeing Smokey walking south on a dirt road away from the casino after leaving his vehicle behind. There were subsequent unconfirmed sightings of him in Great Falls, Fort Belknap, and Havre, Montana.
