A Quiet Night Turns Into a Mystery
In the early hours of March 2, 2020, 27-year-old Amanda Nicole Towne visited her aunt's residence on 99th Street in a rural area north of Fellsmere, Florida. After a brief conversation with her cousin, she left around 3:00 a.m., intending to walk to her boyfriend's home approximately half a mile away on North Hickory Street. She never arrived, and that was the last time anyone saw or heard from her.
A Troubled Past and Unanswered Questions
Amanda's life before her disappearance was marked by personal struggles. She was a mother of three children, all under the age of twelve, who were in the custody of a relative. Despite her challenges, including a history of drug use and recent job loss, Amanda maintained regular contact with her family and children. Her sudden disappearance was out of character, raising immediate concerns among her loved ones.
The Search and Discovery of Personal Items
On April 20, 2020, investigators found some of Amanda's personal belongings near the C-54 Canal in the vicinity of 97th Street, less than two miles from her aunt's home. Four days later, authorities executed a search warrant on a nearby property, recovering a light blue older model GMC Sierra pickup truck and other items of interest. Despite these developments, Amanda's whereabouts remain unknown.
Possible Connection to Another Case
In February 2022, the body of 39-year-old Allea Beemer was discovered in Fellsmere, just a few miles from where Amanda was last seen. Beemer had been reported missing earlier that month. Authorities have not ruled out a connection between the two cases, noting that both women were involved in the local drug scene. However, no definitive link has been established. ...Read More
