A Quiet Morning Turns Tragic

On May 6, 1994, 51-year-old Al Dubeau set out on a kayaking trip near Blind Slough in the Sumner Strait, close to Petersburg, Alaska. Known for its rugged beauty and challenging waters, the area is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. However, that day, Dubeau's adventure took a tragic turn. He went missing during his excursion and is presumed to have drowned following a kayaking accident. Despite search efforts, his body was never recovered, leaving a void in the community and unanswered questions for his loved ones. 

Profile of the Missing

At the time of his disappearance, Dubeau was described as a 51-year-old white male, standing 71 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He had blond or strawberry-colored hair and blue eyes. The Alaska State Troopers in Anchorage were the primary agency handling his case, with the case number 940027482.
