Originally from Satellite Beach, Florida, Courtney had relocated to Hawaii just two months prior, chasing her dream of becoming a professional surfer. Courtney was known for her vivacious spirit and unwavering determination. A graduate of Satellite High School with honors, she earned an associate's degree from Brevard Community College.
