A Quiet Visit Turns into a Haunting Mystery

On June 3, 2019, 39-year-old Shanna Marie Oman, a resident of Eagle River, Alaska, vanished under perplexing circumstances while visiting a friend in Fairbanks. She was last seen around 12:30 a.m., leaving a residence off McGrath Road. Her friend, who had initially planned to drive her back to Eagle River, assumed she had arranged alternative transportation when she didn't return. It wasn't until her roommate reported that Shanna never made it home that concern escalated, prompting the friend to notify authorities. 

Tracing Shanna's Last Known Movements

Investigations revealed that after departing the McGrath Road residence, Shanna was seen at a cabin near mile 23 of Chena Hot Springs Road. The cabin owner reported that she "walked away" on June 4. Despite extensive searches in the area, which borders the Chena River, no trace of Shanna was found.
