A Mother’s Vanishing: The Last Known Moments

On the evening of April 22, 2020, 42-year-old Krista Daniel was captured on surveillance footage leaving Olar’s Party Store around 7:30 p.m. She was seen crossing the westbound lanes of 8 Mile Road in Detroit, heading towards her home on Hawthorne Street. This was the last confirmed sighting of Krista. 

Krista's disappearance came just a month after the death of her husband, leaving her to care for their five children, aged between 2 and 17. Described by her family as compassionate and intelligent, Krista was navigating the challenges of single motherhood. 

The Investigation: A Case Gone Cold

Authorities believe Krista may have been assaulted, possibly shot, and placed in the trunk of a car near 8 Mile Road and Hawthorne Street. Despite these leads, no arrests have been made, and her body has not been recovered. 
