A Hiker's Last Known Steps

On August 25, 2019, 35-year-old Daniel Reza was reported missing after he failed to return from a hiking trip in the Mount Charleston area near Las Vegas, Nevada. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department , Reza was last seen near Warm Springs Road and Decatur Boulevard before heading into the mountainous terrain. Witnesses reported seeing him on various trails over the following week, but he never returned to his vehicle, prompting concerns for his safety.   

The Search Efforts Intensify

Red Rock Search and Rescue , a volunteer organization, spearheaded the search for Reza. Their efforts were bolstered by the involvement of the LVMPD and the 34th Weapons Squadron from Nellis Air Force Base. The combined teams utilized helicopters to access remote areas, allowing them to cover more ground in the challenging terrain.
