Edgar Francis Burch III, a seasoned law enforcement officer, had built a distinguished career before relocating to Alaska. Serving as the sheriff of Routt County, Colorado, from 1991 to 1995, and later as the undersheriff in El Paso County, Burch was known for his dedication and leadership.
