A Sudden Disappearance

On August 2, 2024, Ryan Merle Hopwood, a 43-year-old resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida, was last seen leaving his residence on foot. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System , he was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie at the time. There has been no contact or confirmed sightings of him since that day. The Port St. Lucie Police Department officially reported him missing on April 27, 2025, nearly nine months after his last known contact.

Ryan Hopwood is described as a white male, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 205 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. There is no publicly available information regarding any distinctive physical features, tattoos, or scars. 

Legal History

Prior to his disappearance, Hopwood had a history of legal issues. On April 10, 2024, he was arrested by the Port St. Lucie Police Department and charged with domestic battery. He was released on a $500 bond. Additionally, records indicate that he had a prior conviction for grand theft in St. Lucie County, for which he was under community supervision in Fort Pierce, Florida.
