A Quiet Morning in Baton Rouge
On the morning of October 23, 1991, William Todd Jarreau, a 26-year-old construction worker, left his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, telling his wife of less than a year that he was going to the store. He departed with only a few dollars in his pocket, dressed in a blue shirt, cut-off blue jeans, and white sneakers. This seemingly routine errand marked the last time anyone saw or heard from him.
Discovery of the Abandoned Vehicle
Shortly after his disappearance, Jarreau's truck was found abandoned in the parking lot of a Waffle House restaurant in Baton Rouge. There were no signs of a struggle or any indication of his whereabouts. The vehicle's location provided no substantial leads, leaving investigators and family members puzzled.
Physical Characteristics and Medical History
Jarreau was described as a white male, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes. Notably, he bore several scars: one on his left arm, multiple on the left side of his head, and a scar on his neck. These were the result of a previous shotgun wound to the left side of his face, which had caused skeletal trauma to his maxillary, nasal, and superior left humerus areas. He also had a tracheostomy scar on his neck.
Investigation and Case Status
The Baton Rouge Police Department initiated an investigation into Jarreau's disappearance. Despite efforts, the case yielded few leads and remains unsolved. Dental records are available, but DNA records are unavailable, which has limited the scope of forensic identification. ...Read More
