A Tragic Evening in Southeast D.C.

On the evening of Sunday, June 5, 2016, at approximately 8:48 p.m., the tranquility of the 5200 block of Call Place SE in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Residents emerged to find 18-year-old Tyrique White suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Tyrique succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

A Young Life with Promise

Tyrique White, a resident of Southeast Washington, was on the cusp of adulthood. Friends and family remember him as a vibrant individual with aspirations and dreams.
