On January 1, 1991, the city of Salt Lake City, Utah, witnessed the unexplained disappearance of 20-year-old Chad Randl Stattman. Despite the passage of over three decades, his case remains unsolved, leaving a void in the hearts of his loved ones and a mystery that continues to perplex investigators.
Chad was last seen departing from a relative's residence in Salt Lake City on New Year's Day, 1991. Reports suggest that he intended to travel to California in pursuit of employment opportunities; however, this plan was never substantiated. Following his departure, Chad seemingly vanished without a trace, as there have been no confirmed sightings or communications from him since that day.
At the time he went missing, Chad was described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes. He stood approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed around 130 pounds. Distinctive features included a scar on his stomach and a 2.5-inch scar beneath his left pinkie finger on the palm side of his hand. These identifiers were crucial for identification efforts during the initial search phases.
The investigation into Chad's disappearance faced significant hurdles from the outset. The lack of concrete evidence and confirmed plans made it difficult for law enforcement to establish a clear direction. Initial inquiries yielded minimal leads, and the trail quickly grew cold. The absence of digital footprints, which are instrumental in modern investigations, further compounded the challenges faced by detectives in the early '90s. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
