In the early 1990s, Christoph "Chris" Zahn, a 21-year-old Swiss-American dual citizen, embarked on an ambitious tour across the United States. Described as a bright and adventurous young man, Christoph aimed to explore major cities and national parks, immersing himself in the diverse cultures and landscapes of America. His journey, however, took a tragic turn, leading to a decades-long mystery that remains unsolved.

Christoph's Arrival in Atlanta

On April 27, 1992, Christoph arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, after an overnight bus ride from Jacksonville, Florida. He checked into the American Hotel, conveniently located across the street from the bus station. The following day, April 28, at approximately 4:15 p.m., he contacted his travel agent in Orange County, Florida, from a payphone at a Denny's restaurant on Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Tucker, Georgia.
