Introduction

In May 2023, the tranquil community of Stony Brook, New York, was shaken by the sudden disappearance of 16-year-old Brittany Villatoro. Despite extensive search efforts and public appeals, her whereabouts remain unknown, leaving family, friends, and the community in a state of anguish and uncertainty.

The Disappearance

On the evening of May 21, 2023, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Brittany was last seen leaving the Long Island Adolescent and Family Services, Inc., a youth home located on Stony Brook Road. She was accompanied by 13-year-old Angelina Smith. The two girls left together, and their absence was reported the following day, May 22.
