The Fateful Night of February 20, 2016

On the evening of February 19, 2016, Gomez and his roommates hosted a lively party that extended into the early hours of the following morning. As the festivities dwindled and guests departed, the household settled into sleep. Shortly before 7 a.m. on February 20, a sudden, loud noise startled the occupants. Gomez emerged from his bedroom, expressing confusion and concern, stating he thought he might have been shot, before collapsing. Emergency responders arrived promptly, transporting him to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
