In the early hours of November 24, 1987, 61-year-old Patrick Joseph Ratchford vanished from his home near 35th Avenue and Campbell Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. Between 12:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., he disappeared without a trace, leaving behind a life marked by significant personal transformations and a community left searching for answers.
Patrick Ratchford's life took a significant turn when he left the Catholic priesthood to marry, a decision that underscored his commitment to personal convictions over institutional expectations. This transition from a life of celibacy and religious service to one of marital and familial responsibilities was profound, reflecting a man deeply engaged with his personal beliefs and desires.
On the day he disappeared, Ratchford was last seen at his residence. He left behind most of his personal belongings, taking only his wedding ring, which suggests a departure that was either spontaneous or deeply personal. His family and friends have not seen or heard from him since that day.
The Phoenix Police Department, led by Detective Jared D'Addabbo, has been the primary agency investigating Ratchford's disappearance. Despite the passage of time, the case remains open, with authorities continuing to seek information that could shed light on his whereabouts. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
