Barry Boches, a 65-year-old criminal defense attorney, was a well-known figure in Waukegan, Illinois. Operating out of his law office on Grand Avenue, Boches had built a reputation for his dedication to justice and his clients. Residing in unincorporated Antioch, he was known to commute regularly between his home and office, maintaining a routine that was both predictable and professional. His sudden disappearance in March 2020 sent shockwaves through the community, leaving colleagues and clients alike searching for answers.
On the morning of March 24, 2020, Boches left his estranged wife's home in Deerfield around 7 a.m., informing her that he was heading to work to meet with a client later that day. Throughout the day, they exchanged text messages, with Boches mentioning he was working on continuing education and later stating he was with a client. However, communication became sporadic, and by 11 p.m., he texted that he was done with things up north and planned to stay there for the night, citing he had the "virus" and needed to stay away. This was the last known contact anyone had with him.
The following day, March 25, Boches' wife reported him missing to the Lake County Sheriff's Office after he failed to return home or make further contact. His business partner checked their law office and found nothing amiss. Shortly thereafter, Boches' 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was discovered abandoned on a side street in Waukegan, approximately two miles from his office. There was no sign of Boches in or around the vehicle, and no evidence of foul play was found inside.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office launched an extensive investigation into Boches' disappearance, describing the case as having "unusual characteristics." Detectives conducted over 200 interviews and followed numerous leads, but no substantial evidence emerged. In September 2020, the FBI joined the search, providing technical support to the ongoing investigation. Despite these efforts, Boches remained missing, and the case grew colder with each passing month. ...Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
