Peter John McColl, known affectionately as “Rainbow” to his friends, was a bright and introspective 16-year-old from Berkeley, California. An honors student at Berkeley High School, Peter was deeply engaged in music, poetry, and athletics, serving as a rower on his school's crew team. He was also an avid hiker and mountain biker, often exploring the trails of Tilden Park and the Berkeley Hills.
