Peter John McColl, known affectionately as “Rainbow” to his friends, was a bright and introspective 16-year-old from Berkeley, California. An honors student at Berkeley High School, Peter was deeply engaged in music, poetry, and athletics, serving as a rower on his school's crew team. He was also an avid hiker and mountain biker, often exploring the trails of Tilden Park and the Berkeley Hills. Peter had just passed his driver's test and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his license, which, tragically, would arrive in the mail weeks after his disappearance.
On the morning of August 28, 1995, Peter left his family's home near The Alameda in Berkeley around 11:00 a.m., telling his younger brother he planned to take the bus to Cody's Bookstore on Telegraph Avenue. He was dressed in a light gray t-shirt with "Berkeley Crew" printed on the front, a light gray sweatshirt with "US Rowing" on the front, black jeans, and Dr. Martens boots. Peter was extremely nearsighted, with 20/400 vision, and was wearing contact lenses at the time; he did not take his eyeglasses with him.
In the days following Peter's disappearance, several unconfirmed sightings were reported. A driver of AC Transit bus 43 claimed that Peter asked for directions to Montclair, a neighborhood in Oakland, and appeared to have a prearranged meeting with an unidentified teenage boy with blond hair and an accented speech. Another report came from a cab driver who stated he drove a young man matching Peter's description, along with a teenage girl with red-streaked hair, to the airport to catch a Southwest Airlines flight. Despite these leads, none have been substantiated, and inquiries at the airline yielded no relevant information.
Various theories have emerged over the years regarding Peter's disappearance. Some suggest he may have run away, possibly traveling to states like Oregon, Florida, Louisiana, or Washington. Others believe he might have joined a religious group, as several were actively recruiting on the University of California, Berkeley campus at the time. Peter's parents investigated this possibility but found no evidence to support it. Another theory posits that Peter went on a solo hike in Tilden Park and suffered an accident, given his love for hiking and the park's proximity to his home. However, extensive searches of the area yielded no clues. ...Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o

on The Unsolved Disappearance of Kenneth Wayne Moss: A 20-Year Mystery in Harrisburg, Arkansas
I have always known the law and powerful people were involved in Kenny's murder. After he went missing I was fallowed and stalked by people, some looked like cops or undercover investigators and some looked like crooks, mobsters and drug dealers. And the law have never questioned me or asked me anything about what happened even though I know all of this information. I know that there are still people out there who want to shut me up. Cops have never tried to help me with the investigation they've only harrassed me and put bogus charges on me and have literally tried to pin stuff on me and send me to jail. When Ive tried to talk about Kenny to cops they either played dumb and wanted no part of it had 0 interest or they literally ignored me and acted as if I was not even speaking all while attempting to railroad me and lock me up. I have never even done drugs and I've always tried to live a legal abiding life. I'm now a father and husband works and makes an honest living.
