His last known contact was on April 14, 2019, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, a region notorious for its dangers to migrants.

Andres planned to cross into the United States near Hidalgo County, Texas, possibly through McAllen. However, after his last communication, he vanished without a trace. His family, desperate for answers, reported his disappearance to the Dirección General de Protección al Hondureño Migrante and sought assistance from the Honduran Consulate in Tapachula, Mexico.
