Max Phillip Greenfield, a 25-year-old artist from Brookings, Oregon, vanished under mysterious circumstances in the early hours of March 18, 2018. That night, friends picked him up from his mother's home and drove him approximately 15 minutes to the Lucky 7 Casino in Smith River, California—a place Max frequented. Surveillance footage captured him entering the casino around 1:00 a.m. and leaving at 1:50 a.m. with an unidentified adult Caucasian male. The two walked south across the parking lot near Highway 101, and Max has not been seen since.
A Life Marked by Creativity and Struggles
Born on April 4, 1992, Max was known for his artistic talents and had studied at The Art Institute in Portland, Oregon. He had a tattoo of a skeleton key on his left forearm and a pierced nose. He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did.
