A Promising Student's Fateful Hike
On February 14, 1993, 28-year-old William Anthony McKinnon, a dedicated student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, set out for a day hike on Church Mountain in the Mount Baker area of the North Cascades National Park. Accompanied by his roommate and two friends, the group aimed to reach the alpine meadows known for their breathtaking vistas. As they ascended to approximately 4,200 feet, they encountered snow-covered terrain. Concerned about his inadequate gear—dressed in blue jeans, a sweater, a green jacket, and tennis shoes—McKinnon decided to stay behind while his companions continued upward. He mentioned he would either wait for their return or head back to the parking lot. This decision marked the last confirmed sighting of McKinnon.
The Alarming Discovery
Upon returning to the spot where they had left McKinnon, his friends found no trace of him. Assuming he had returned to the car or perhaps hitchhiked back to Bellingham, they proceeded to the parking area, only to find it empty. Growing concern led them to contact authorities, initiating a search operation. The Whatcom County Sheriff's Department organized a comprehensive search-and-rescue mission, deploying teams equipped with bloodhounds to scour the trails and surrounding areas. Despite their efforts, no clues emerged to indicate McKinnon's whereabouts. The challenging mountainous terrain, combined with sub-zero nighttime temperatures, further complicated the search efforts. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
