She had distinctive tattoos: stars on the left side of her face, a sleeve with stars and a blue and red background on her right arm, and additional tattoos on her chest and upper back. She may have used the surnames Medrano or Serna and sometimes spelled her first name as "Xasha".

Authorities classified Bishop's case as an endangered missing person due to the unusual circumstances of her disappearance. She left behind three children, intensifying concerns for her safety.
