On July 25, 2020, 21-year-old Leila Cavett, a mother from Dawsonville, Georgia, was last seen in Hollywood, Florida. The following day, her two-year-old son, Kamdyn, was discovered wandering alone in a Miramar apartment complex parking lot, wearing only a T-shirt and diaper. This alarming discovery initiated a multi-agency investigation that would uncover disturbing details but still leave many questions unanswered.
Residents of the apartment complex found Kamdyn alone and contacted the authorities. Initially, the police had no information about the child's identity or how he ended up there. Eventually, they identified him as Leila Cavett's son. This led to a search for Leila, who had no known ties to South Florida, making her presence there puzzling to her family and investigators alike.
Three days after Kamdyn was found, Leila's white Chevy Silverado 3500 pickup truck was located in a Walmart parking lot in Hollywood, Florida. The vehicle had a red tailgate and a "Baby on Board" sign on the passenger window. The discovery of the truck provided a crucial lead in the investigation, shifting the focus to Hollywood as the primary location of interest.
Shannon Ryan, a 39-year-old man from Alabama who described himself as a "witch" and spiritual advisor, emerged as a person of interest. Ryan claimed that Leila had traveled to Florida to sell him her truck and that they had spent time together before she left with her son in a car with unknown men. However, surveillance footage and other evidence contradicted his account. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
