A Quiet Life Interrupted

Kimberly Ann Gillespie was a 42-year-old woman living in El Dorado County, California. Described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, Kimberly was known to be deaf and had other disabilities that affected her memory and mobility. Despite these challenges, she maintained a life in the community, supported by her family and loved ones.

The Day She Disappeared

On July 8, 2016, Kimberly was last seen walking in a rural area east of Pollock Pines, specifically in the Fresh Pond area. She was wearing a sleeveless shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported her missing a week later, on July 15, 2016, and sought public assistance in locating her.

A Mother's Concern

Elaine Shaw, Kimberly’s mother, expressed deep concern over her daughter's disappearance. She revealed that Kimberly and her boyfriend, who is also deaf, had gone for a walk in the woods together. According to Shaw, the boyfriend returned a day later without Kimberly, stating that they had become dehydrated and lost, and he believed she had made it out safely. The Search Efforts
