On October 11, 1993, the quiet town of Challis, Idaho, was forever changed when 9-year-old Stephanie Crane vanished without a trace. The eldest of four sisters, Stephanie was known for her tomboyish nature, love for the outdoors, and close bond with her father. That day, she attended school and then went to the local bowling alley, Challis Lanes, for her youth league practice. After the session, she was last seen walking along Highway 93, possibly heading towards Challis High School to retrieve a forgotten backpack or to watch a soccer practice. She never made it home.
Stephanie's mother, Sandi Crane, reported her missing at approximately 8:16 p.m. after searching for her daughter for about an hour and a half. The Custer County Sheriff's Office promptly initiated a search, which included checking the creek behind the bowling alley and mobilizing the Challis Volunteer Fire Department and Search and Rescue teams. By the next morning, the search expanded to include 300 volunteers, two airplanes, tracking dogs, and boat crews scanning the Salmon River. Despite these extensive efforts, no trace of Stephanie was found.
During the investigation, witnesses reported seeing a small, late-model yellow pickup truck with red pinstripes parked near Challis High School around the time of Stephanie's disappearance. The vehicle's presence was deemed suspicious, but authorities were unable to locate it or identify its owner. This lead remains one of the many unexplained aspects of the case.
One of the most perplexing elements of Stephanie's disappearance is the absence of a crime scene or eyewitness accounts of an abduction. Theories about her destination varied; some believed she was heading home, while others thought she was going to the high school. This uncertainty complicated the search and investigation, leaving authorities with limited information to act upon. ...Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
