In the early morning hours of June 20, 2016, the quiet of the Miners Candle area near Idaho Springs, Colorado, was broken by the sound of a man calling for his dog. This was the last time anyone reported hearing from 30-year-old Dustin Shane Poole. A report was made to the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office later that day when a concerned individual, after being unable to locate him, realized he was missing.
