In the late summer of 1968, a sense of quiet concern settled over a Syracuse, New York community. Lillian E. Bottrill, a 69-year-old woman with white hair and blue eyes, vanished on August 20th. Living with dementia, it is believed that she may have wandered from her home, a possibility that cast a long shadow of worry over her family and neighbors.
